driven by the fire within my soul

segregation

Still Standing food Ships signed and numbered with"We arrived on slave ships. My labor was used to build the United States of America. I fought to free this country and then I had to fight for my own freedom. I survived and endured lynchings, racism, segregation, the flooding of our communities with drugs, mass incarceration, gentrification, police brutality and more. I paid my dues to be recognized as an American and for equality. My scars and bruises are the receipts. Yet through it all. here I am.
