Heading back to the moor we follow the top path along Levisham Moor and the Hole of Horcum with splendid views down into the bottom and low Horcum

The Hole of Horcum also known as the Devil’s Punchbowl is a spectacular natural ampi-theatre scooped out of Levisham Moor

Distance: 6 miles (10km)

From here we follow a reciprocal route back to Simon Howe

Goathland – Centenary Way – Simon Howe circular walk Date:Sunday 4th July but also the site ofThis is a pleasant gentle 8 miles (12. 8km) circular route with about 5 hours walking time. Meet at 9. 30am for a 10am start. We meet at the Inn on the Moor Hotel car park (we will try and arrange for morning tea and coffee) before setting off along the Centenary Way, a fitting tribute to the 12 men from Goathland who lost their lives in the First World War. The route then continues along the old railway line to Moorgates and the main Goathland road.
