Paul Pillot, Saint Aubin 1er Cru "Les Charmois", 2023 so041821 ruinart offer/class/ig terroir-driven expression of modern DouroStep outside Chassagne and you're in Saint Aubin, Burgundy's elegant secret: cooler, steeper, less famous, more honest. Les Charmois sits on eastern slopes with limestone soils and a microclimate that insists on freshness and grip. From a producer who has already proven mastery at the Premier Cru level, this white arrives fresh and elegant: white flowers, citrus, pear, green almond, wet stonea wine that will reward cellaring through the early 2030s.
